Brian Heywood

(re)Draw the Line

There comes a point in your life when you have to work out what's going on; with your life, with your family, with the world. This is where you draw the line.

This song is an upbeat take on reaching this point from Brian Heywood, who -according to the avante-garde Bored City weblog - "is more than just a musician; he’s a musical polymath". This not telling you what to do, but just have a 'think' about it. The song was originally written for Carry the Can's "Thinking about our lives" show but still applies.

Originally recorded in the UK with the final production taking place on the east coast of Australia, this powerful, edgy guitar driven track has rich vocals and a tight rhythm section. This song was written for a show staged in 1999 called "Thinking about our lives" and it is a real shame that the situation has not changed 25 years later.
