Brian Heywood Rhythm of the road This is a laid back Latin / Jazz / Pop sound with a travelling theme. It was originally written in the mid 1980's, pretty much as a heavy metal track but later Brian discovered a minor jazz riff and decided to put it into a more jazzy groove. After performing the song live for a couple of years he linked up with Andy Neve to create this version of the song. Brian Heywood is an Australian musician who relocated to the UK in the early 80's and is now based in Australia. As well as live performance in alt.country, Americana roots, folk rock and pop / rock genres, he also composes for live and video and film soundtracks. He also has a lot of experience in live production and studio production / engineering for recordings in a variety of styles. A guitarist, vocalist, bandleader, arranger, composer, producer and award winning song writer - Brian has a formidable array of skills and experience.
